Labrador-Grenfell Health is committed to creating an environment for excellence of care. The Patient Safety & Quality Department works with employees throughout the organization to continuously measure the care we provide to make sure it is the safest and highest quality.

Healthcare workers, patients and the public work in partnership to improve patient safety by making patient safety everyone's role. Patient safety and quality are key priorities for LGH. All healthcare providers within the health system strive to provide quality and safe services every day.

To demonstrate accountability for standards in practice and quality improvements, the Patient Safety & Quality Department has structured its program to include the following program areas:
