COVID-19 immunizations for priority groups in Northern Peninsula to begin January 18, 2021

Labrador-Grenfell Health is advising the public that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will be available to priority healthcare workers, long term care and personal care home residents and staff, on the Northern Peninsula beginning January 18, 2021. Vaccine will be administered on location by the public health vaccination team.

LGH is following provincial and national guidance on COVID-19 vaccination for priority populations and working as fast and fair as possible to implement the vaccination program. While waiting for your opportunity for vaccination, and after vaccination, it is important for everyone to continue to follow public health guidance to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your communities.

This includes:

o Wearing a mask and keeping 2 metres distance;

 

o Washing your hands frequently;

o Respecting public health guidance on gatherings, travel and quarantine.

o Staying home and calling 8-11 if you feel sick;
