Labrador-Grenfell Health launches 2020-21 Seasonal Influenza Immunization program

Public Service Announcement – October 20, 2020

Labrador-Grenfell Health is launching its Seasonal Influenza Immunization program on October 20, 2020. The health authority is encouraging the public to receive their annual flu shot to protect themselves and their loved ones against the communicable disease.

To ensure public measure orders such as physical distancing can be maintained, appointments will be required to receive a flu shot this year. Appointments can be booked through the Health Myself service online here or by calling the toll free line at 1-833-951-3904. All appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Walk in appointments are not available.

Please bring your MCP card to your scheduled appointment and arrive no sooner than 10 minutes prior to ensure physical distancing.

All individuals presenting at Labrador-Grenfell Health facilities for a flu shot will be screened for COVID-19 through a series of questions and will be required to wear a mask.

Learn more about the flu vaccine and how to receive yours in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region at www.lghealth.ca/flu-prevention.

We would also like to thank all Labrador-Grenfell Health staff who have been working hard to make this possible during an unprecedented flu season.
