Labrador-Grenfell Health Provides Update on Vaccine Passport Requirements for Visitation

Public Notice – October 21, 2021

Labrador-Grenfell Health is advising the public that effective October 22, 2021, visitors to long-term care facilities and congregate living settings will be required to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical exemption. This is in line with provincial guidelines regarding the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s vaccine passport.

Labrador-Grenfell Health also reminds visitors that masks continue to be mandatory at all Labrador-Grenfell Health facilities. This is a necessary precaution to keep people safe while in our health-care facilities. Wearing masks is one of the key strategies in preventing the spread of infection and is especially critical within health-care settings to protect patients, clients and residents as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves.
