Public Notice – October 12, 2021
Labrador-Grenfell Health is advising the public that beginning October 12, 2021 there will be no physician on-site at the Strait of Belle Isle Health Centre in Flower’s Cove until November 12, 2021.
During this time, residents may continue to access care as usual at the health centre:
- The Regional Nurses will continue to provide on-site routine, urgent and emergent care 24 hours a day.
- Non-emergent situations will be supported via virtual consultations with a physician.
- The Nurse Practitioner will continue to provide the regular scheduled clinic.
- Urgent and emergent issues will be covered virtually by the Emergency Department at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony.
In case of medical emergencies, residents could call 9-1-1.
