Visitor restrictions at Happy Valley-Goose Bay Long-Term Care Home

The Department of Health and Community Services announced that all long-term care homes within Newfoundland and Labrador be closed to visitors effective end of day.

Labrador-Grenfell Health recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic is a rapidly evolving situation. We continue to work diligently to respond accordingly and prioritize and ensure appropriate care and services continue.

The safety, health and comfort of residents is Labrador-Grenfell Health’s priority.  We are working to alleviate any potential impact from the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, we are advising the public that effective immediately, visitors are no longer permitted at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Long-Term Care Home.

While we recognize that this is a difficult time for residents and their families, Labrador-Grenfell Health reassures the public that these measures are being taken to ensure the health and safety of residents and staff.
