Entrances to hospitals for emergent, urgent and non-urgent visits

Public Notice – May 28, 2020

Effective June 1, 2020, anyone seeking emergency services within Labrador-Grenfell Health hospitals must use Emergency Department entrances. When possible, we encourage the public to call ahead and staff will provide COVID-19 screening before presenting to the site.  

Those presenting to a site as a visitor or for non-emergent services please continue to use the designated entrance below. Please note the change for those seeking Emergent care.

Labrador-Grenfell Health continues to provide screening at these entryways between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.  Please respect social distancing measures, answer questions and follow instructions provided.

If you require an ambulance, please call 911 and ensure you advise of:

  • Travel history
  • If you had contact with someone confirmed with COVID-19
  • If you’re in self-isolation
  • If you have fever, cough or shortness of breath

To help reduce the spread of illness:

  • Wash your hands often.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes.
  • Avoid touching nose, eyes and mouth.

 

  • Stay at home if you are sick.
  • Keep a minimal distance of 2 metres between people (social distancing).
