PUBLIC ADVISORY
Labrador-Grenfell Health continues focus on urgent and emergency services

On December 29th, Labrador-Grenfell Health began realigning human resources at Labrador Health Centre to focus on COVID-19 testing and pandemic response, cancer care, and urgent and emergency services.

Effective immediately, OR services across the region will also focus on urgent and emergency services only as employees are temporarily redeployed to support surge capacity at Labrador Health Centre.

If you have an appointment affected by any of these temporary changes, you will be contacted to reschedule your appointment.

There are no changes to cancer care, labour and delivery, or emergency services across the region. At this time, lab services at Labrador Health Centre will continue for urgent requisitions only.

“The COVID-19 pandemic brought uncertainty and change to our lives, often with little time to adjust. Through it all, our care and support teams remained committed to providing accessible, quality, and safe health and wellness services to over 35,000 people living in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region. Our teams have shown the professionalism, flexibility, and caring needed to get us through surges and temporary changes so we can continue our focus on the health and wellness of people and their families.”
– Heather Brown, President and CEO
