Regional Diabetes Nurse Educator services include the care of newly diagnosed type 1 and type 2 clients with diabetes, in both pediatric and adult populations, as well as clients with gestational diabetes.
Diabetes education also includes insulin initiation, insulin pump therapy and foot care services as needed.
Collaborative clinics are available using a multidiscipline approach. Community education on diabetes and prevention is offered periodically and upon request.
